Zoe-perry

Perry is she is Chicago native who was born to Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. Her first television appearances were Jackie Harris on ABC's sitcom Roseanne. Her mother played the role. Her parents, however, did not want her to take on acting roles until she was older and worried about the consequences of stress. Perry claimed that she was too timid to perform at the age of 16, but she began doing shows at Northwestern University as a way to meet new people after she transferred to the university from Boston University. Perry went on to New York, where she got small roles on shows such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Home sickiness brought Perry home to California which was where theatre jobs were readily available. The Other Place was performed by her and her mother on Broadway in 2013 She performed with her father Kevin McKidd and Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie in 2015 at the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, West Los Angeles. Perry played a part in nine episodes on ABC's drama The Family during 2016. She had a regular role in the ABC drama about politics Scandal which starred her father. In the same year, her character was cast the younger character of Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon, a spin-off of the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory again playing a young version of her mother's role. The actress was chosen for the role despite having a close relationship with the character's family.
