While shooting The Crow in 1997, Mitchell auditioned for the role of an actor in the child part of Mary Camden of a brand new family drama 7th Heaven. Her audition was rejected producers, who did not believe she was able to play Mary. Brooke, who lives in New York now and is engaged to English producer James Fletcher, has created the American Woman series on CNN.
