Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise, an American writer and actress, most famous for her role as Ginger Grant on the television show Gilligan's Island during the 1960s. She began acting as a stage performer in the 1950s starting by performing in Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. In the 1950s she performed as a stage artist in a few Broadway shows before gaining her way into the spotlight with her hit song 'Lil' Abner's debut in 1957. In 1957, she also made her debut album entitled It's Time for Tina. Louise began her journey into Hollywood as Griselda Walden in God's Little Acre a drama film released 1958.The film received a lot of praise as well as Louise won the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the Year category. During this time she joined the Actors Studio in New York and formed a connection to Lee Strasberg as his student. The next notable role she portrayed as Ginger Grant, which CBS was the first to sign her on with in 1964. Louise Balfour managed to play between Broadway and Hollywood portraying somber character as contrast to her image of an attractive doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 as Helen Magnus and Sanctuary. However, in recent years she also became a well-known director of popular television programs like Supernatural as well as The 100. Her birthplace was in Essex August 28th on the 28th of August, 1965. Her family later relocated to Toronto for her childhood. Samantha Carter was chosen in 1997 to play the role and has remained to Toronto since then.
